Open vs Adjustable Linear Bearings: Do Not Confuse the Two
Open type
An open linear bearing has a longitudinal opening so it can clear a shaft support or defined machine geometry. Orientation and load direction matter.
Adjustable type
An adjustable type is intended for a housing that can influence radial clearance. It is not the same thing as an open bearing.
